As an air freight haulier and recognised IATA agent, we perform the following activities and processes:
International animal transport
Checking the IATA Live Animal Regulation that is mandatory
Documentation
Checking the documentation required at the destination
Transport suitability
Checking weight and size of the transport crate and the animal's state of health
Reservation
We check and forward information on regulations and booking information
Labelling
Preparing the markings, labels, tags, warning information and special instructions on the transport crate that are mandatory
Airway bill
The airway bill has a tariff based on the tariffs published in the TACT (air cargo tariff). It contains all required information needed for transport operations.
Customs clearance
The animal is handed over to the air freight company after customs clearance
Conclusion and information for the owner/sender:
Animals that are sedated, whose state of health is questionable and/or are in a non-approved transport crate are NOT accepted for transport. Neither do we transport animals whose documentation is incomplete or not submitted in original form. The owner/sender bears sole responsibility for procuring all required documents and certificates (including any permits required) and submitting them in original form on the date of shipment.
